Environmental Impact Strategy
Among the worldwide objectives that have been defined for the protection of the environment, Health Italia is investing in the containment of energy consumption and to make its contribution to the fight against climate change. In addition to the global challenges identified in the United Nations Agenda 2030, the Company is renewing its equipment and conduct in the name of environmental protection with careful waste management, supporting the circularity of resources and encouraging the construction of a more livable.
Environmental protection is increasingly integrated into business choices and investment decisions, impacting supplier selection processes, the adjustment and reduction of energy consumption factors and the identification of operational solutions that focus on the awareness that there can be economic development if the protection of the territory is neglected.
To follow up on these new strategies, an Energy Manager has been appointed who, through a specific operating unit, is committed to identifying the factors on which to intervene to reduce consumption and optimize resources.
Furthermore, in collaboration with the HR, Welfare departments and with the representatives of the Promoter Networks, Health Italia organizes specific training sessions dedicated to the theme of Eco-sustainability and the promotion of a culture of individual responsibility and critical consumption.
Full Hybrid cars
The Health Italia Group has undertaken a series of initiatives which confirm its commitment to environmental sustainability and, with the aim of adopting new mobility solutions, is converting its fleet to 100% Full Hybrid Electric vehicles.
As of 2019, the fleet has been reduced from 40 to around 30 cars and progressively replaced with hybrid models. This initiative is due to Health Italia's desire to further reduce the environmental impact of its activities.
